Eric Clapton in his roots

A mostly unknown album from Eric Clapton (official web site, wikipedia article also his last.fm profileor the album wikipedia and last.fm album link articles) most tracks from this one aren't from Eric, but from some great bluesman like Willie Dixon, Billy Myles Jimmy Reed and the great "Blow wind blow" (which also appears in Eric's "Another Ticket" (wiki and last.fm, great album by the way...) and it's originally from Muddy Waters. This is a great album to Eric Clapton fans or even the ones that know nothing about blues and just want to start listen and enjoy a good time doing that.

Now some geek stuff... here appears lots of links to Last.fm and nothing was said about that website here yet... Last.fm is kind of a log of what you have being listening... works like that, you listen to a song and last.fm adds it to your profile, after a wile (aka after you listen to a enough number of songs to describe your musical taste) last.fm starts to recommend artists to you. It compares your profile to some people that have a similar taste of yours and recommend to you what they listen that you do not.
By being a "social internet networking" site, it also allow you to have friends comments from them and other things like orkut or myspace has (not all the stuff that they have, but still got groups with 'forum like' discussion boards).
In addition it's a web radio (yes it has all that, and its free!, by installing the tiny program that remains in your toolbar (it 'sends' to last.fm all the info about the music that you listen - you still use your favorite music player, it works with windows media player, itunes and winamp among others) and at any moment you can listen to your 'recommendations station' or 'neighbor's radio' (with music that people that has a music taste similar to yours listen).
Of course it has a 'special paid membership', having it you have a special radio for you which plays songs from the musicians that you like the most and some new stuff (and possibly other things, I don't know because I have the regular membership). It also has a lot more stuff to the free members, like music tagging and loads of other things but I think these are enough qualities for you to try it...
So check it out, to sign up go here and to install the application to update the songs that you listen to the site, go here.
Oh yeah, I forgot something, as you noticed (if any of you clicked in any link to last.fm artists' profiles) you can listen to parts of the songs from the Artists to known them more (and download their music, if you really like it...)
